Radiate Neon
Made for the Pirate Software Game jam 14 with the theme of "It spreads."
Radiate Neon is a shoot em up based around the main character Jason Brosteel, bro extraordinaire. He travels the world helping those who are lost or unable to find the path toward happiness with kind words and grovetronic 1200.
"In the gray city of Greyton City, the population live their lives in bleakness and unable to do more than survive and work. The city has lost its color and its music. Life seems hopeless and those that live there simply move from day to day, spreading negativity like a plague and caught in a feedback loop of depression and bitterness. The city itself almost luring those who have lost hope to it like an anglerfish luring it’s prey. Enter Jason Brosteel, professional bro, positivity spreader and mullet owner has traveled from town to town, spreading positivity and helping people out of their depressive funk and sending them on a grooving positivity bender. Fun idea, though it seems like the level with the guy who lost his girlfriend was much harder than the other ones.
